At the heart of Kookawood you will find a huge open log fire place, in winter we will have it ready to light upon arrival. There is also a split system air conditioner for heating when you do not wish to use the fireplace.
No matter if it is snowing or just cold outside you have the perfect excuse to pour yourself a glass of wine, pull up a cosy chair and enjoy the roaring fire.
Outdoor firepit is not permitted in bushfire season or on hot windy days (wood from the bush can be used on this fire)
During the day grab the Wellington boots and venture outside to build a snowman on the lawn, or go for a bushwalk and breathe in the clean mountain air.
If it is raining we have a large movie library, music and games to play.
In winter and autumn we do provide one bucket of complimentary firewood, only bagged hardwood is permitted for use inside the house. ( petrol station on highway turnoff has bagged firewood you can purchase on the way to the house )
